May 25, 2005a bite of the appleI've never been to New York City. Yes, I am a provincial Southern Boy, and I kinda like the woods, the corn fields, the cotton-bottoms and the pine trees around where I live. But I've always wanted to go see the Big City, just so I could say that I did it. After reading this series of posts, I'm not so sure anymore. Just start at the top and scroll down. Having lived here for six odd years, and having seen exactly zero rats, I can safely say he's full of it. As for pigeons, we have those, but they're New York pigeons, so they're as likely to kick your ass as get out of your way. Anytime of the day will do. Also check out the Wall Street Staion of the 2 and 3 trains. Same thing. They are everywhere. It's also helpful if you know someone there to sort of guide you around, get theater tickets, make suggestions, etc. It truly is the big apple. Complete with worms.
