Geez, Rob,
You are showing our age, here. There is no dial on a telephone. There is a keypad. THe last standard telephone with a dial was installed sometime in the mid 1970's and the standard version was called a "black 500" by those of us in the trade. By the mid '70s thought, the beige 500 was the most installed phone in the US, being rapidly supplanted by the beige slimline touch-tone.
Geez, I quit Ma Bell in 1975. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I believe that's the first complete and correct one. What'd I win?
Mr. Lion, are you saying that Lincoln's picture on the penny is on the back? Because that's the equivalent of saying the Queen's picture is on the back of Canadian coins.
I'd assumed that the side of a given coin that has its country of origin printed is the "front". In such case, yes, Lincoln is on the back. I'm fairly certain that's the case with canuck coins as well, though it's been a few years since I've seen one.
There are two schools of thought on what makes the obverse (front) side of a coin: the side the year of mint appears, or the face of a famous person.
I go with the face, unless there is no face; then I go with the year. Obviously on some coins the obverse could be either, like the new quarters, and I don't know if the Canadian dime falls into that category or what.
I'd post my answers but I'm lazy. I think I got 4-5 wrong.
