September 10, 2004ugly bitch
Forecasters keep moving the projected path of the storm farther west before it turns to the north. This IS NOT good news for where I live. I was hoping that Florida would take the brunt of the storm (not that I have any SERIOUS issues with Floridians---except that fact that they can't drive worth a shit.) but if Ivan comes roaring in off the gulf on this path, Frances is going to look like a walk in the park. I don't like this. Comments
Good luck to you. I've been without power for a week and will likely be without it for another thanks to Frances. Just got hold of a generator yesterday. Nothing personal, but I wasn't in the mood for another storm and do not mind the westerly drift one bit. Posted by: mal on September 10, 2004 11:35 PMConcur with mal on the predicted track change. It's too late for Jamaica and Cuba, but let's pray the thing peters out in the middle of the Gulf somewhere. Jamaica is catching it right now. I hear the gov there has already suspended civil rights, and they've had at least one firearm murder in a shelter there. How can that be, guns are against the law in Jamaica. I wonder, if the price of Red Stripe goes up afterwards, that someone will go after them for "price-gouging." Posted by: Justthisguy on September 11, 2004 12:35 AMWell, I haven't been harmed by the last two hurricanes that passed over Orlando... Third time's the charm, right? Posted by: D.J. Posted by: Sean on September 12, 2004 03:22 PMIf you think FL drivers are bad try PA. I'm a NJ transplant who lives in FL and they're nothing compared to the idiots up north. Good luck with the storm and stay safe!! Posted by: Dorothy on September 13, 2004 08:40 AMPost a comment
