The fact that Kerry gave false testimony to the Senate upon his return from Vietnam (smearing his comrades as babykillers and war criminals) not to mention his throwing of his medals over the White House fence, totally disqualifies his military service as a justification to elect him commander in chief....
And for the record, since when is joining the National Guard considered "running from your duty"? What an insult to the thousand and thousands of Guard members, past and present who have served and are serving now. (both stateside and abroad)

Great article.........Just read an article on the aircraft ol W was trained on. It was a real bastard of a ship and was never sent to Vietnam because it was considered totally unsuitable for use there. If the mission needs had been changed or the N.G. unit issued new craft,they might have been sent over. So he wasn't avoiding duty,he just won the luck of the draw .

Secondly, you did make the comparison. The Guard of the past was a sloppy, undisciplined [lace to hide form real service.

The NG and AR of today have and continue to make great sacrifices, especially when they were only supposed to be "weekend warriors."
